Puerto Vallarta's Malecon Slowly Reopening

Recently it was announced that the acclaimed Malecon's reconstruction project is up to speed. For all locals and tourist these are great news!

The city mayor said "we know that the dates from the 15th of July to 15th of August are strong for tourism during the summer, so, we intend to open July 16th the first two blocks of the grid from north to south, where the stones has already been installed throughout the floor and the remaining of the Malecon will be opened gradually." So far it seems the Malecon's restoration was a great decision by the local government.
This project is implementing river channels throughout to avoid any floods and electrical work is being placed very discretely.  With sections of the new boardwalk bearing the placed stones it is obvious to foresee the projects beauty which will be a tremendous boost to Puerto Vallarta's charm.

The idea of being able to jog at the Malecon early in the morning, being able to walk your dog, or take a peaceful stroll to relax and appreciate the beauty of our beautiful bay is soon to be a reality and is the best news many locals have received. Many are eager to return to their daily routines or for the people who use the boardwalk as a distraction where families meet to enjoy one of Mexico’s most beautiful destinations.
