Historia de Playa Mayto.

Una linda historia de Mayto y sus habitantes..... Santiago fue uno de los padres fundadores de Maito. Se mudó con su familia a la zona alrededor de 1970 para crear un nuevo hogar y empezar a cultivar la tierra. Él y un grupo de otros, crearon la comunidad de Maito con concesiones de tierras del gobierno. Algunos de los terrenos incluyeron las playas, las cuales le tenían miedo de. Ellos eran campesinos y el mar con tortugas fue algo que no entendían. El maíz era el cultivo principal y cuando se decidieron por un nombre para la comunidad... fue basado en Maíz. Cada mañana, el maíz cosechado era molido en harina y  se hicieron tortillas - el alimento básico de la vida mexicana. Por lo tanto, llamaron a la comunidad Maito - de Maíz y Tortilla. En los últimos tiempos la ortografía ha cambiado a Mayto. Sin embargo, todavía se ve la antigua ortografía en muchos mapas.

Mayto es una playa enorme. Una de las últimas playas vírgenes de la costa del Pacífico de México. Es difícil verlo todo con una sola mirada. Los alrededores también están llenos de historias e imágenes  muchos de los lugares, actividades y personas.

No hay nada como estar en el mar con el viento y las brisa de las olas en tu cara, Caminando por la playa y escuchar las olas golpeando te recuerda cómo la naturaleza es increíble y la bonita experiencia que es. El mar estaba muy tranquilo en la playa Mayto agradable para nadar. Estaba lleno Mayto durante las vacaciones. El camino es mas corto a medida que avanza la pavimentación y se te sorprenderás de tanta gente que ahora sabe de este lugar - sólo en los últimos dos años! Hay muchas playas a cortas distancias de Mayto y pueblos de pescadores donde encontraras la comida mas deliciosa. Una vez que te encuentres en Mayto es necesario ir a Tehuamixtle a solo 10 minutos de Mayto, un lugar que no te puedes perder!

Puedes volar un papalote en Mayto  en esta época del año.

Los vientos suelen comenzar alrededor del mediodía y continuará hasta el final de la tarde. Esto seguramente se convertirá en un destino para el deporte, dada la fuerza y la consistencia del viento.

Hay historias sobre el pez gallo de Mayto .

Y es verdad! . Dicen que este pez es en realidad uno pequeño! Agosto y Septiembre son los mejores meses para pezcar porque las aguas son cálidas y tranquilas.

La mayoría de los peces de la zona son atrapados en las rocas del extremo sur de playa Mayto.

El red snapper es siempre un favorito. Puedes disfrutar de otros alimentos  a la plancha y una deliciosa brocheta de camarón rojo.

Where to begin?With the prices of gas so extremely high, we could all use a good cheap vacation. Budget travel is fun! When you travel cheap not only do you save money, you meet interesting people from all over the world and you also tend to interact more with the locals, having a true Mexico experience. Mexico is not extremely cheap like India or Thailand but it is not really expensive either. It is a mid-range country where you can easily travel from place to place on $50 dollars a day. If you want to stay in one place for a month you can to it on $700 to $1000 a month without any problem. Actually, you can do it alot cheaper if you stay on a peso budget!

If you don't have a passport, get one. If you are a US citizen apply right away it is simple and quick.  Passports are required to re-enter the US by plane and required at all border crossings. Next step - pick up a map of Mexico and a copy of the Lonely Planet. This is the traveler's bible because is contains a good selection of budget accommodations and detailed information on transportation - how to get from point A to point B. Why not...???... Try to get someone to go with you so you and cut the cost of accomodation in half!!

Transportation

First of all, don't drive. Remember we are trying to escape those high gas prices! Besides that, the tolls are ridiculously high. You don't need a car in Mexico because they have great public transportation, a lot better than back at home! If you live in a border area, take the bus and stop at places along the way. Expect to pay around $50 US for a day's bus trip. There are also budget airlines in Mexico worth considering. If you live far from the border, look for a good cheap charter flight to one of the major tourist resorts like Puerto Vallarta and take off from there. Look on the internet for cheap flights.

Expect to pay $30 to $50 a night for a double. Hotel Mocali offers clean and A.C. unit rooms at a low budget price, just 2 blocks from the beach and new malecon, restaraunts, taco stands, and transportation to get you around the city for just 50 cents!  Some people camp on the beach, but be sure to ask about safety concerns before you do this.

The food in Mexico is fabulous and there is nothing better than a good Mexican breakfast eggs, beans and tortillas. This would cost between $2 and $7 depending on where you are. Every town has a traditional market and you can get a cheap breakfast there along with fresh squeezed juices. The markets also serve tortas - a sandwich on a Mexican roll and these run less than $3. And of course you can buy your own food. The markets open early in the morning but close by mid-afternoon. Mexico has wonderful tropical fruits - papayas, mangos, bananas and pineapples along with imported oranges and apples. Some people are afraid of eating street food. Try it, this way you can see see for yourself . Some places load up on the grease so watch out. If you are traveling cheap, tacos, tortas, fruit, and eggs will get you a long way.

Working?

What about making money in Mexico? It is of course illegal to work on a tourist visa but some tourists pick up a little extra cash selling pastries or chocolates, teaching English or Yoga, or giving massage. If you don't compete with the Mexicans there probably won't be any problem.

Puerto Vallarta - Miss Mexico

Actualización: La gran final del segmento de Miss Puerto Vallarta de este concurso se llevará a cabo el sábado, 23 de julio a las 8 pm en el Teatro Vallarta. Los boletos cuestan $ 200 pesos por adelantado o $ 250 pesos en la puerta.
Puerto Vallarta, México - Agosto es siempre uno de los meses más calurosos del año en Puerto Vallarta, pero será aún más caliente este año cuando candidatas compiten por el título de Miss México.
Puerto Vallarta ha sido elegida como sede de las semifinales y final de las competiciones del concurso de belleza Miss México, que tendrá lugar 18 al 20 de Agosto, como se anunció en una conferencia de prensa por el Gobernador del Estado de Jalisco, Emilio González, director de Nuestra Belleza México, Lupita Jones , y 2010 Nuestra Belleza México campeón, Karin Ontiveros.
La conferencia de prensa reveló que el certamen de belleza anual se llevará a cabo este año en tres etapas. El primer evento será en la ciudad de México el 22 de julio, que constará de las competencias iniciales y eliminaciones, a partir de 34 concursantes.
Los finalistas del evento Ciudad de México viajará a Puerto Vallarta para la segunda fase, que contará con las bellezas de México en la pista en traje de baño, vestido formal y competencias de disfraces, que tendrá lugar el 18 de agosto.
La etapa final del concurso tendrá lugar el 20 de agosto, de nuevo en Puerto Vallarta, donde los restantes 15 concursantes competirán de nuevo en el traje de baño de la pista, vestido formal y concursos de oratoria. Una de ellas será coronada como "Miss México" y saldrá a competir en el certamen de Miss Universo 2012.

Durante los últimos tres años, el Nuestra Belleza México finalistas que han pasado a competir en el certamen de Miss Universo ha sido desde el estado de Jalisco, Puerto Vallarta, donde se encuentra.
La actual Miss Universo, Ximena Navarrete, es del estado de Jalisco. Navarrete ha  modelado desde que tenía 15 años y llegó a Miss Universo después de ganar por Jalisco, luego a México, en 2009, certamen del país Nuestra Belleza, que se celebró en Mérida, Yucatán.
Este año el evento será la decimoctava edición del concurso de Miss México.
Una de las principales razones que se tomó la decisión de celebrar el concurso en Jalisco se debió a los ganadores de los últimos tres años han sido los representantes del Estado de Jalisco, incluyendo la actual Miss Universo, Ximena Navarrete.
Miss Universo 2011, el 60 º aniversario del certamen de Miss Universo, que se celebrará en el Credicard Hall, Sao Paulo, Brasil el 12 de Septiembre de 2011. Ximena Navarrete de México coronara a su sucesora al final del evento.
Ontiveros se espera que tomen parte en el mercado internacional de Miss Universo 2011 concurso, con la esperanza de convertirse en la tercera Miss Universo de México, y la segunda consecutiva!

Puerto Vallarta to Host 2011 Miss Mexico Pageant

Update: The Grand Finale of the Miss Puerto Vallarta segment of this contest will take place on Saturday, July 23, at 8 pm in Teatro Vallarta. Tickets are $200 pesos in advance or $250 pesos at the door.
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - August is always one of the warmest months of the year in Puerto Vallarta, but it will be even hotter this year as candidates vie for the title of Miss Mexico.
Puerto Vallarta has been chosen to host the semi-finals and final competitions of the Miss Mexico beauty pageant, which will take place August 18-20, as announced in a press conference by Jalisco State Governor Emilio Gonzalez, Nuestra Belleza Mexico director, Lupita Jones, and 2010 Nuestra Belleza Mexico titleholder, Karin Ontiveros.
The press conference revealed that the annual beauty pageant will take place this year in three stages. The first event will be in Mexico City on July 22, which will consist of the initial competitions and eliminations, beginning with 34 contestants.
Finalists of the Mexico City event will travel to Puerto Vallarta for the second phase, which will feature the Mexican beauties on the runway in swimsuit, formal gown and costume competitions, taking place on August 18.

Ejercicio en Paraiso

Una de las cosas que nos encanta de Puerto Vallarta es que nos da 365 días de clima perfecto para hacer ejercicio, es genial! La comida es uno de nuestros tiempos favoritos ​​por lo que es imperativo que mantengamos un régimen constante, el ejercicio. Sin embargo, últimamente he estado comiendo más que haciendo ejercicio! Y cuando nuestro cuerpo está cambiando constantemente y el tiempo recorre, no hay misericordia para holgazanear! Es hora de que volver a la acción!

Hay muchos gimnasios para elegir en Puerto Vallarta, pero también hay muchas cosas que pueden hacer al aire libre. Mi entrenamiento de invierno consiste en caminar y subir las escaleras en la Playa Los Muertos mientras tengo una vista fantástica.

Entonces, ¿qué hacemos  para hacer ejercicio durante los meses de nuestro verano? Mantenernos en forma en el calor y la humedad puede ser muy difícil y requiere que usted se levante antes de tiempo. Si se va alrededor de las 6 am al Municipal de Puerto Vallarta Complejo Deportivo Estadio se encontrara una pista llena de gente corriendo o caminando. El estadio es bastante grande, un gran recurso para el ejercicio si estás en un presupuesto ajustado. Ofrecen clases de aeróbicos por la mañana y la capacitación a un costo muy bajo.

La natación es otra gran forma de hacer ejercicio. Me gusta especialmente porque es una de las mejores maneras de lograr un entrenamiento completo del cuerpo sin todo el sudor! Si usted no tiene una piscina, el mar es igual de bueno para hacer vueltas ya que el agua está caliente y por lo general bastante tranquilo en las mañanas de verano.

Hablando de los océanos, Puerto Vallarta será la sede de algunas de las competiciones de juegos Panamericanos de este año, que incluye la de los hombres y el Triatlón de la Mujer. El 23 de Octubre de 2011, 70 atletas se reunirán en la zona de la Terminal Marina para iniciar la parte de natación de la carrera. Algo que seguramente no querrá perderse!

Otra gran alternativa a los primeros paseos por la mañana es el poder de yoga. ¿Cuándo fue la última vez que hizo una parada de cabeza? Puerto Vallarta se ha convertido en una meca para los amantes del yoga con algunos de los mejores instructores de yoga y estudios de yoga encontrados aquí, en nuestro hermoso paraíso.

Exercise in Paradise

One of the things we love about Puerto Vallarta is that it gives us 365 days of perfect weather for exercise! Since food is one of our favorite past times  it is imperative that we maintain a constant exercise routine. However, lately I've been eating more than exercising! And when our body is constantly changing and the time passes by, there is no mercy for lounging! It's time to return to action!
There are many gyms to choose from in Puerto Vallarta, but there are also many things you can do outdoors. Your winter training can consists of walking to the beach and climbing stairs at Playa Los Muertos while having a fantastic view.

So what do we do to  exercise during our summer months? Staying in shape in the heat and humidity can be very difficult and requires you to get up early. If you are up arou

nd 6 am go for a jog at Puerto Vallarta City Stadium it is full of people running or walking. The stadium is large enough, a great resource for exercise if you're on a tight budget. They offer aerobic classes in the morning and training at a very low cost.

Swimming is another great form of exercise. I especially like because it is one of the best ways to achieve a full body workout without all the sweat! If you do not have a pool, the sea is just as good for doing laps because the water is warm and usually pretty calm during summer mornings.

Speaking of the ocean, Puerto Vallarta will host some competitions this year's for the Pan American Games, including men's and Women's Triathlon. On October 23, 2011, 70 athletes will gather in the Marine Terminal to start the swimming part of the race. Something that you will not want to miss!

Another great alternative to early morning walks is the power of yoga. When was the last time you did a headstand? Puerto Vallarta has become a mecca for lovers of yoga with some of the best yoga teachers and yoga studios found here in our beautiful paradise.
